Hello!  I am one of the Modified Core Curriculum teachers here at VAAS.  I have been an educator for over 20 years and a teacher for students with disabilities for over 15.  My experience includes elementary schools, special education centers, career and transition centers, and high school.  I work collaboratively with other teachers here to provide my students with a safe, nurturing, educational, and FUN program.  In addition to our core academics, some of our regular activities include participating in a Peer Buddy program, Fun Friday games, music, and dancing, and the creation of a monthly newsletter for our families.  We pride ourselves on giving all of our students a valuable and enriching high school experience that is inclusive and memorable.  Please feel free to ask questions about my program anytime.
