My name is Naomi Oken. I’m a painter, muralist, graphic designer, and educator. What drives me to create art is the exploration of emotion that empowers me to grow, reflect, and connect. I find joy in the process of mixing colors to build unique, expressive palettes that capture the mood and energy of my subjects.

As a teacher, I’m passionate about inspiring students to express themselves through the arts. I aim to nurture their creativity, build technical skills, and encourage open-minded exploration. I’ve had the privilege of teaching all grade levels, as well as serving as a college-level graphic design instructor. I hold an M.A. in Art Education and a teaching credential from Alliant International University in Los Angeles.

Outside the classroom, I make time for my own artistic practice, especially painting. I also enjoy hiking and spending quality time with my family. I'm always looking for new opportunities to expand what’s possible for my students, whether through creative projects, community partnerships, or innovative learning experiences. I’m excited to be your teacher and can’t wait to see your creativity come to life!
