About Ms. Oken
Hello,
My name is Naomi Oken. I’m a painter, muralist, graphic designer and a teacher. What drives me to create art is the exploration of my feelings that empowers me to grow. I enjoy the process of mixing colors to create a unique and arbitrary color palette illustrating the mood of the subject. As a teacher, I enjoy motivating my students to express themselves through the arts, building their skills and opening their minds to new ideas. Outside of school, I make time for creativity, finding joy in painting. I also love hiking and spending time with my family. I have taught all grade levels and worked as a college graphic art instructor. I received my M.A in Art Education and teacher credential from Alliant University in Los Angeles. I am very excited to be your teacher and to see your brilliance and creativity expressed in the arts!
