The regular customers at the Whistle Stop Diner know there’s nothing in life that can’t be fixed by a hot cup of coffee and a warm slice of apple pie, with friends that become family. They realize this because of a campaign manager shows up at the Whistle Stop, and what he proposes shakes up their diner and causes tension to develop among them. In the end, they realize that the people in their small town and the kindness and love they share, brings them together. Whistle Stop is a story about people, that in the midst of a conflict, uses humor and heart to examine societal friction. Come and experience our production that examines life through the lens of a small town, with a big heart. This play reminds us that… “At the end of the day, it’s not what divides us, but what brings us together is most important.”
Sherlock Holmes & The Case of Lovely Lily’s Fancies. This adaptation of a Sherlock story is dedicated to the drama students of Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences. Written by Marci Herrera and directed by our very own, Galvin Galicia. The setting is London,1897. It takes place in Holmes and Watson’s office and at the theater next door. where Lovely Lily, the favored singing ingenue has her fancies stolen from her dressing room. This Mysterious Melodramatic piece is an adaptation of the fictional Sherlock Holmes characters, sprinkled in with a few real people in history. It includes references to H.G. Wells, The Time Machine connecting our two one act plays via the time travel element.
